The Gothic Revival: How did it impact on Gainsborough and District?

The Gainsborough Heritage Centre is hosting a course of lectures, on every Wednesday during March 2018, to be given by Paul Howitt-Cowan at Gainsborough House, 18 Parnell Street, Gainsborough, DN21 2NB. Due to the success of Paul Howitt-Cowan’s lectures, this will be his fourth series of lectures on Gainsborough’s local history and heritage. This year the lectures focus on Churches and the role of religion within the UK during the eighteenth century. The lecture on Wednesday 28 March will focus on the Gothic Revival during the nineteenth century and how it impacted on Gainsborough and the district. The lectures will begin promptly at 7.30pm and the cost of each separate lecture will be £4.00 with tea and biscuits available during the interval.

Further details can be obtained about the course of lectures by email: [email protected] or call 01427 610526.
