We are delighted to announce that our new ‘Discover Gainsborough’ heritage trail booklet which was launched in April is available in print and pdf form. The booklet was produced by the Townscape Heritage Initiative team in partnership with The Heritage Centre and it features a guided 90 minute walk around the heart of Gainsborough, taking in its iconic landmarks and giving a taste of our town’s varied history.
The booklet provides a guide to the main visitor attractions in the town, which will serve as a useful tool for encouraging tourism, and ensuring that visitors to the main attractions linger longer in Gainsborough to see what else we have to offer. It also provides a much needed local walk for our community while we are restriced to ‘staying local’.

To see a pdf version of this booklet follow the link. Discover Gainsborough – A Walk Through Time
The booklets are now available to collect from the Heritage Centre, Gainsborough Library and Gainsborough Old Hall, as well as further afield at Lincoln Central library and Lincoln Visitor Centre on Castle square. Please send any feedback to [email protected]
We would love to create an image gallery of people enjoying the walk and showcasing our iconic buildings and sights. Please send yours to the above email address if you would like to share your images online. If you would like to be added to a mailing list for Gainsborough events and free resources then please let us know.
