The Gainsborough Townscape Heritage Initiative have joined with English Heritage to create a one-day festival of drawing at Gainsborough Old Hall in September.
Taking place in the grounds of the Old Hall on Saturday 25 September
from 11am until 4pm
This is a great day out for all the family and doesn’t cost a thing! Come along with your sketch book or borrow materials from us and take a tour of the historic herb gardens, drawing anything that inspires you.
Then make an illustrated clay tile under the guidance of our ceramic artist. You can take away your clay tile to air-dry at home or our artist may ask if he can fire it in his kiln to incorporate into a decorative panel to be displayed at the Old Hall and collected by you later!
This is a FREE activity but materials are limited, so first come first served. No need to book, just turn up on the day.
This activity has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Gainsborough’s Townscape Heritage Initiative. We would like to thank all lottery players for supporting good causes.
